I have successfully installed the Carbonio 26.6.0 on ubuntu 22.04 then i reboot the server but server is back to online but admin panel stopped working. Why is this happing not able to understand the root cause. The same scenario happend with ubuntu 24.04. how to resolve this. Please help me.

The most noticeable problems are in the Admin Panel:

• The fonts appear inconsistent throughout the interface.

• Overall, the font size seems too large.

• In some cases, button labels (for example, "CREATE") are oversized.

• Many form elements have fonts that are too large and don't seem to have enough margin or padding. For example, input fields or dropdowns with a title inside the element (such as "Status") have the selected value almost touching the title, making the layout look cramped.

I've tested this in several browsers, and the issue is present in all of them.

Is this the expected appearance of the Admin Panel, or is there something wrong with my installation?

I also see similar issues in the webmail client. While it allows the font size to be reduced, that doesn't resolve the oversized UI elements. For example, the "NEW" button still has excessively large padding and doesn't look properly proportioned.

So far i have not tested the actual functionality. Apart from the UI, i also found that zmcontrol no longer works (ubuntu). That's detailed in the documentation, but there seems to be no way to view the status of all internal carbonio services (it's also not present in the admin panel).

libzmq-ffi-perl

This package provides ZMQ::FFI, which is not supported by the supplied amavis-services script.

Package information:

The issue persists after reinstalling carbonio-amavisd and restarting the service.

carbonio-amavisd:
Installed: 2.14.0-4noble
Candidate: 2.14.0-4noble

Available versions:
2.14.0-4noble
2.14.0-1noble

Mail flow, Amavis, SpamAssassin and Pyzor continue to work correctly.
Only the amavis-services helper processes fail.

Could you please verify whether:

1. a package dependency is missing,
2. a Carbonio Perl ZeroMQ package is missing from the Noble repository,
3. or amavis-services should be updated to support ZMQ::FFI?

Additional information:

The missing ZeroMQ modules do not prevent mail delivery.
SpamAssassin, Pyzor and Amavis continue to work correctly.

However, the following helper services never start because of the missing Perl modules:

- msg-forwarder
- childproc-minder
- snmp-responder

I have a question regarding the "Only these users" permission for Distribution Lists in Carbonio CE 26.6.0.

Environment

• Carbonio CE 26.6.0

• Single Server

• Ubuntu 24.04

Configuration

I created a Distribution List and configured the following option:

Manage permissions → Control who can send emails to this distribution list → Only these users

I granted the sendToDistList permission only to zextras@aiue.store.

The permission appears to be correctly configured:

carbonio prov gg -t dl sales@aiue.store

Output:

The Distribution List has two members:

carbonio prov gdlm sales@aiue.store

user1@aiue.store
user2@aiue.store

What I observed

I tested sending an email from user3@aiue.store, which does not have the sendToDistList permission.

However, the email was accepted and successfully delivered to all members of the Distribution List.

The mail log shows:

postfix/qmgr: 309D2E133A: from=<user3@aiue.store>, size=1587, nrcpt=2

postfix/smtp: to=<user1@aiue.store>, orig_to=<sales@aiue.store>, status=sent

postfix/smtp: to=<user2@aiue.store>, orig_to=<sales@aiue.store>, status=sent

postfix/lmtp: to=<user1@aiue.store>, status=sent

postfix/lmtp: to=<user2@aiue.store>, status=sent

Additional Information

I tested the same configuration on Carbonio Release 26.3.2, and the "Only these users" permission worked as expected.

After performing a fresh installation of Carbonio CE 26.6.0, I observed that users who are not granted the sendToDistList permission can still send emails to the Distribution List.

Question

Is there any additional configuration required in Carbonio CE 26.6.0 to make the "Only these users" restriction work?

Or is this the expected behavior in Carbonio CE 26.6.0?

If anyone has experienced the same behavior or can provide guidance, I would appreciate your advice.

Webmail/admin login fails with 502 Bad Gateway on GET /zx/login/v3/auth/config. Traced this to the carbonio-proxy upstream carbonio-auth, which routes to 127.78.0.1:20008 (an Envoy sidecar). The sidecar itself is up and listening, but nothing is registered behind it.

What I've confirmed:

• consul catalog services shows no carbonio-auth entry at all (not unhealthy — completely absent)
• No .hcl file for it exists in /etc/zextras/service-discover/ (only carbonio-proxy.hcl references the name, as a destination)
• No systemd unit carbonio-auth-sidecar.service exists anywhere on disk
• dpkg -S carbonio-auth-sidecar returns no matching package
• apt-cache search carbonio | grep auth and apt list -a carbonio-auth* show only carbonio-auth-ui (a frontend module), no backend service
• Not served directly by mailboxd either (curl localhost:8080/zx/login/v3/auth/config → 404)
• No trace of any process ever attempting to register this service name in mailbox.log
• pending-setups -a runs clean, nothing pending
• Full zmcontrol restart and individual service restarts don't resolve it
• Repointing the proxy upstream to carbonio-user-management (the service that appears to actually handle auth-related SOAP requests) also didn't resolve it — reverted that change

What's healthy: everything else — mail delivery, IMAP, SMTP, LDAP, MTA, proxy itself, mailbox backend. This is isolated to the webmail/admin login flow specifically.

Found one other user with the exact same symptom (community.zextras.com/forum/carbonio-general-thread/carbonio-auth-problem/, Feb 2024) with no public resolution shown.

Is carbonio-auth supposed to be provided by a specific package? Was it possibly deprecated/replaced by carbonio-user-management in a later version and this proxy template just wasn't updated to match? Any pointers appreciated.
