I'm not saying imapsync can't be used, but it's far too limited because it doesn't deal with Contacts, Calendars and accounts setups.

Zimbra uses a single copy storage method, when syncinc via imapsync inboxes could inflate a lot. Say a user had sent 50GB worth of email to two destinations on the server, that will become 100GB.
