Personally, I think that these kind of information deserve a well-defined communication process, which includes a number of information, so it is not a trivial task to devise such a workflow.

Is it possible to create a new topic called "Patch and Security", or something, and you could have announcements there? E.g. One new topic for each release of patches, workarounds and similar.
