Thanks for the reply

I'm only a home user although I started using Zimbra from the day it was released and mostly for work, I'd also started using Centos from the day that was released and zimbra fitted nicely on centos - my background was IBM Mainframe software and my conversion to linux (and avoiding Microsoft Software) was started by centos & ZCS and I'd always go for RHEL O/S and it's variants and I'm currently using Oracle for my VMs although with the current Broadcom takeover I'll have to move to another platform.

Yes, I know about the not being any further updates to Zextras I guess it might be a conversion to Carbonio sometime in the future, at least there's a RHEL version of that. :)

Would it be useful to approach some of the Zimbra forum members that have RHEL builds of ZCS to see if they could give you some help?

@phoenix THANKS !
I don't know yet, because it was a lot of work for a DEB environment with extraction and reconstruction of packages.
Unlike you, I have been familiar with the Debian environment for many years, it remains to be seen how that goes for RPM packages.
There are so many forks on the RHEL side that I wouldn't know where to start to do my first tests.
Do Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, Oracle Linux 8, and Rocky Linux 8 point to a single repository ?

I also had private discussions with Zextras, and there is little chance of seeing future updates to Zextras Suite.
I also encouraged him to move to Onlyoffice and the provision of a Webdav server.
For my part, I have finished updating to Onlyoffice 8, the automation of the creation of the package took time, but will remain a time saver for future versions, it is almost finished, it will be made available at the end of this week.

At this point, the only conclusion I made is to develop some kind of Wrapper to make Zimbra Zimlets compatible with Carbonio (CE).
I don't think the cost of a Carbonio license is higher than that of Zextras Suite.

this alliance is supposed to be the angular stone of the zimbra API, on which zextras suite is build. If this goes wreck there will be no more zextras stuff for zimbra.

My point of view is that commercial cooperation has ended and each entity will make his own product. on its side. If one day there is again a zimbra open source it sure will not be compatible with current zextras suite. If you want pro services, buy pro version of either zimbra or carbonio. If you want opensource either go with carbonio CE without HSM or mobility, or wait for zimbra 1O OSS (very unlikely, but who knows) or turn to another product like Kopano.com .

I think I would like a route to move to Carbonio from OSS Zimbra 9. I would rather have some change in features and be on an active developed FOSS platform than adrfit in this mad Zimbra clutz of present with so many compromises and potential hacks.

I know we could look at shifting via a manual account migration route to Carbonio but is there anything better? This is Zextras after all ;-)
