I thought I'd stumbled onto the Zimbra forums here, the silence on these forums is just as bad as Zimbra!

I'm sure this is a difficult time with the recent screw-up and the 'failed' patch release of ZCS but.... it would help if there were some updates and answers to questions on these forums. I've asked these questions before and they go unanswered.

I think that Zextras has done a great job of providing a build of Zimbra for the Open Source version and I, for one, appreciate that.

Unfortunately because of the recent problems I'm now left with a 'dead' mail server - it is receiving email but for various reasons I can't access it and it's extremely frustrating. I've tried installing a 'clean' server from the Zextras build (supposedly P25) but I end-up with a Frankenstein system that actually is Patch 14 and I'm not able to do anything with that. I can't upgrade it 'manually' (nor my 'main' server) and I also can't access the Admin paned etc. etc. etc.

Could someone from Zextras please give us some update on what's happening with the current version of ZCS 9 - even if it's just 'we're working on it' would help

About your sever patch level information is something that zimbra 9 build by zextras can't change, it was changed by zimbra-patch meta package provided by zimbra repo.

Zimbra update this meta package up to P14.

If you installed all the patch after P14 by using zimbra 9 build by zextras you need to check the last build version date with :

zmcontrol -v

Usually you can find something like "Release 9.0.0.ZEXTRAS.YYYYMMDD.UBUNTU.64"
