Modify S3bucket configuration

Hello,

I would like to know how to modify a current S3bucket configuration (sercret key for example).
The following command : zxsuite config global get attribute s3bucketconfigurations allows you to display all parameters but how to set it ?

Do I need to restart services on each server using the bucket when I change it ?

Can HSM be set for Some Specific Users Only? because in the HSM command, I find doMoveBlobs for all users only

good day ,

newbie here seeking some up. currently have zimbra 8.8.15 network edition setup and looking to move older mails to a secondary drive but i'm unable to find any detail instruction on how to setup .

what permission should to the secondary storage have and should it be mounted in the /opt/zimbra directory ?

i tried to setup and was getting error "no secondary store set"

Please help.

Powerstore ovh swift volume

I try to add swift container as a volume on powerstore.
Swift container is created on ovh provider.

I tried different configuration but none worked (I changed username and password in logs ):

Zextras Powerstore on multiserver install and Bucket S3

Hi,
i installed the zextras suite on a new zimbra server to evaluate the possibility to migrate our production server on a new server with zextras installed.

I configured the Bucket S3 on the first server with success.
If i try to add a secondary volume on the second server always on a Bucket S3 i have this error on log

Cost distribution when using Amazon S3

Hi.
Some months ago we configured S3 as volume for Powerstore. We have ~27G of data stored there, but we get relatively high invoices from Amazon. I.e. last one was 10.54$, 1.98$ for storage and 8.56$ for bandwidth! In one month we have 95GB of data being transferred out.

We store in S3 mails older than 3 years, so unlikely we can produce nearly four times the data in transfer.

Why that? Backup?

freeNAS as secondary storage for Powerstore HSM

Hi:

We currently operate Zimbra Open Source edition (8. with about 6 Tb of mail dating back to 2009.

The powers that be don't want to delete old mail so the plan is to implement ZxPowerstore with a storage rule that moves all mail older than 2 years to a secondary store.

My current thinking is a box with 12 x 3 TB 7.2k SAS drives (RAID 10) running freeNAS for the secondary store. I would create a NFS volume and mount this in the designated path for the secondary volume.

I was just wondering if any of you guys had done this and is there any down side that I might not be aware of. I don't expect the secondary store to be accessed more than a few times per year and really don't care if its slow as long as it works.

Also, if we do this does anyone know how Zimbra would behave if the secondary store (NFS volume) went offline? Would the primary continue to operate or would Zimbra crash?

Swift backend Keystone authentication

Hi,

it looks like you're using JOSS for the heavy lifting for the Swift backend.
But based on the available parameters you only seem to be using the Basic authentication mecanism.

While this may be fine for some Swift deployments, most large size Swift infrastructures are deployed alongside other Openstack components and therefore use Keystone for authentication.
This is the case with our cloud provider (OVH).
I cannot seem to make Basic authentication work with them, but JOSS already support Keystone V2 / V3 auth: https://joss.javaswift.org/authentication.html

Could you please add this on your roadmap for a future release?
This is a big blocker for us, until then we're stuck with s3proxy / s3ql and the likes if we want to use Swift, which is far from ideal...

S3 Bucket is not valid

Hello,

I'm trying to configure ZExtras PowerStore with Amazon S3 bucket, but I'm receiving this message in my Zimbra console when I press test button: S3 bucket is not valid.

My bucket policy is this:

In Zimbra console I complete fields like this example:

Bucket Name: bucket-name
AK: my AK
SK: my SK
Destination Path: /bucket-name/folder ( I tried only with folder name too, no success )
Region: US_EAST_1
ARN: arn:aws:s3:::bucket-name/folder/

Please help me to configure this feature.

how to uncompres all messages

I have bought powerstore licence, and after htat I turn on compression on the mail store.
Now I must to uncompres all the messages because I want to read all messages to independent archiwum, but this archiv do not read files which are compress
Could U help me?
