Great 😊

By the way, I do not see the amavis in the list. Is there any particular reason for that?

Regards,

Sharif

No reason for that. I must say I don't have a clue why not. How to enable ?

Could this also be the problem that my spamfilter is not working even when apamassassin is  ?

Let's check enabled services:

zextras@mail:~$ carbonio prov gs $(hostname -f) | grep -i zimbraServiceEnabled

Sharif

So, carbonio-amavisd is installed in your system but not enabled.

Let's enable it:

zextras@mail:~$ carbonio prov ms $(hostname -f) +zimbraServiceEnabled amavis

Now check all services again (zmcontrol status).

Regards,

Sharif

Yes, it is running now.

Host mail1.xxxxx.xxxx
amavis Running
antispam Running
antivirus Running
directory-server Running
mailbox Running
memcached Running
mta Running
opendkim Running
proxy Running
service webapp Running
service-discover Running
stats Running
config service Running

Is amavis also the filter that is responsible for using spamassisin to check for spam ?

Hi,

Not entirely, but amavis is responsible for the content filtering.

Ok Thanks for this all Sharif.

For my problems I'm still having with spam I will use another thread.

This one is solved now.
