Hello all

Sorry for english fluent people, i'm french and we are famous for our legendary language incompetence ... 😉

To be very concise, i'd like to request precision about the usage of spamhauss (or other blacklist/whitelist tools).

I have installed a fresh carbonio in a new (ubuntu .... bref ) instance ... ( CE 24.12.2). I don't want to use commercial tools for hosting 10+ family emails .. but it's my stuff. So, the appliance is deployed and working as expected .... but not for one point: I just have to totally disable postscreen because the main of incoming emails whas received from 20 min to 8 h after have been sent.

To be accurate, just below the logs with my registration here  (mail sent by this forum 😉  ) ... Around 4 PM , i have disabled postscreen.

zextras@mail:/var/log$ grep "community.zextras.com" carbonio.log

As many people i've found, this kind of issue comes from public mail providers which use random IPs (in there own pool) to send emails , and each individual IP is sent to "greylist" , next time with new IP, again in greylist.

OK, so  on ..

Now my question: i'm IT architect but not really in mails / carbonio  ... 😉

So, what is the proper configuration for use spamhauss (i have a sbl/xbl/ .... account) but not sure how to use them.. I have an account to spamhauss but the documentation is not pretty clear.

https://docs.zextras.com/carbonio-ce/html/adminpanel/mta.html:

DNS Blacklist Sites

Takes an URL that provides blacklists

Hint

Multiple URLs can be provided as a comma-separated list or URLs, for example zen.spamhaus.org,dnsbl.sorbs.net,b.barracudacentral.org.

The other options determine how the blacklist treats the scanned e-mails and how often the RBLs are updated. In particular:

in my mind, i have to had a list of DQS  (not sure if i have to use in command line ( zmprov)  or via GUI) with a weight.

Hey last point .. for translators , for french speaking (don't know why in french, i always install my tools in english ), but the translation of the admin panel is a mix of french and english speaking.... quite disturbing

Hello

I have added URLs in DNS Blacklisting

hkrm4xxxxxxxdk64si.zen.dq.spamhaus.net,hkrm4xxxxxxxdk64si.dbl.dq.spamhaus.net,hkrm4xxxxxxxdk64si.zrd.dq.spamhaus.net

The result is again totally random : emails reception in 1 minute to x hours...
