Can you help, new installation of version 24.7.1, when pressing the Save to Files button, a file with a name in Cyrillic is saved in an unreadable format, for example =?utf-8?B?0KLRgNC40L3QuNGC0Lgg0LrRgNC+0YHRgSDQtNC+0LrQuNC90LMueGxzeA==?=, but if you just drop the same file there in the File Menu, it is saved well and opens in the online editor.

The psql table shows which file was simply dropped and which was saved from an email attachment, the encoding there is incorrect.

Hi @den_kosh81, I think we already have an issue open for that. Can I ask if it does happen for every file or just for one/some type of files, for example files saved from the Chat, videos, docs, spreadsheets?

Hi @stefanodavid This only happens with email attachments when you click Save to Files, if you just drop a file the name is normal. I don't use chat and video, so I can't check. The file extension doesn't matter.

@den_kosh81

Sorry for the very late reply. I suspect this can have at least a workaround (well, besides renaming the files with Latin characters!), but I need to have some time to test it or find someone to test it for me. Please have a bit more patience!

aftur upgrading to 24.9.0

all folder that we have that have "icelandic" special characters are broken, and IMAP cannot access them.

I found this ( but it does not say anything about what JAR we should download, this is a Major break 🙁

Known Issues (Current Release)

There is no know issue that impacts either the upgrade process to Carbonio CE 24.9.0 or the Carbonio CE operations afterwards.

IMAP folders with Cyrillic characters

If you subscribe to an IMAP folder whose name contains Cyrillic characters, chances are that you fail, even if you already subscribed to that folder. The reason is a missing jar, that you need to download and save in directory /opt/zextras/mailbox/jars/.

@haffi, we amended the docs by adding a downloadable JAR. This however does not fix the problem with Icelandic characters. As written on the repo, we reproduced the issue and are working on it. Thanks for the report!

@haffi we tried to reproduce the issue in 24.9.1 and were unsuccessful, we created folders with some of the characters you mentioned on the docs repo and they are shown and can be browsed via IMAP (with Thunderbird). Can you try to upgrade to 24.9.1 and check if the issue is solved on your side as well? Thanks!
