Hi,
I have a very interesting case that happened to me days ago, a user wanted to empty the spam folder but inadvertently emptied the inbox with the secondary menu and the deletion did not go to the trash, they simply disappeared, my question is: Is there a way to disable users from being able to empty important folders such as inbox or sent, or that in turn a validation is needed that goes through the administrator authorizing the deletion of important folders?
I think it is a good question, fortunately the user did not lose many emails restoring a backup from hours before, but it would be good if this block did not exist, it was considered for corporate security.

Hi,
Carbonio Community Edition does not offer a built-in feature to block users from deleting their emails or emptying specific system folders like Inbox or Sent. Typically, email system assumes that users manage their own mailboxes, and deletion restrictions and this is the default behavior for OSE email collaboration solutions.
What you have raised is valid concern for system-admins and could be achieved through advanced feature of Carbonio i.e. backup, retention policies, or legal hold mechanisms rather than outright blocking.
