Furthermore, the integration of score and reason values in the message detail view empowers administrators with a deeper understanding and informed decision-making capabilities regarding quarantine actions. This release streamlines threat response, allowing admins to promptly delete infected attachments and deliver clean message bodies directly from the interface. Additionally, the inclusion of features such as downloading and sharing messages with recipients or deleting them ensures swift and efficient threat mitigation. The introduction of the "Show Original" option facilitates rapid remediation by enabling admins to download emails directly from quarantine.

With this enhancement, users can now log in using just their username and password, enhancing convenience and efficiency. Administrators have the flexibility to configure domain-specific virtual host names, ensuring seamless access management across various domains. This improvement prioritizes user experience and simplifies the login process, providing clarity on default domain association without additional user input.

Thank you! Nice work. My users will benefit from the Calendar import/export and other improvements. Yay! Here are a few minor issue my users are bringing up to me with 24.5.0.
1. Regarding Contacts, there is no way to 'Select All' or numerous Contacts at once, in the way Inbox you have the 'Activate selection mode' button. The use case is to Delete or Move many Contacts at once.
2. Inbox view: Is there a way to make the Reply, Reply-All, Forward, Trash icons larger? This hover over menu is very tiny for some of my users to see. And there is no other Actions ribbon for them to see the way Zimbra has so bigger icons would help.
3. Mail view: Is there a way to change Date format from default of DD/MM/YYYY to USA version of MM/DD/YYYY? I would think we could manage this in Admin Portal or the Users Preferences based on Locale but it doesn't seem so.
4. Will the far left sidebar ever be able to 'pop-out'? The icons are very small for a few users. They like the way the second column can pop-out or collapse, to show / hide say Mail folders. Just a suggestion.
5. Wipe Folder. Specifically on Junk and with custom folders, users were afraid to choose this, they were expecting the word Empty. You show the word Empty on the Contacts tab. I'm looking for consistency. Is there a way to customize this on our end to our preference? Not a big deal, I am just trying to train many users coming from Zimbra and Action words seem to matter to them. But #6 below is far more important regarding this topic of Wipe Folder.
6. Wipe Folder should not be enabled on the default Mail folders: Inbox, Drafts, Sent. We would we want to give users the ability to permanently delete everything, even by accident. This was disabled in Zimbra and I am afraid it could wreak havoc for me as an administrator. Any ideas?
7. Chat history from Zimbra: I researched but didn't see a way to export/import Chat history from Zimbra. Is that not possible?
Thank you for everyone's hard work. We are looking forward to your reply.
hippiecool
@hippiecool Thank you very much for the useful feedback.
About number 5, no, there is no way for users to customize that without digging into the codes.
About number 7, at this point, it is not possible.
About other points, we ensure that the message is delivered to the development teams as well.
Thanks again.
Thank you for the quick reply.
I noticed a typo, so to be clear about number 6: We would NOT want to give users the ability to permanently delete everything, even by accident in the default mail folders - Inbox, Drafts and Sent.
Thank you.
Good afternoon,
In I found a BUG in the contacts module. I try to create a "New Contact Group", but it doesn't work. That new created group does not appear. What can be?
Current version of Carbonio Mail: 24.5.0
Hello everyone,
The Zextras crew is delighted to present Carbonio Community Edition 24.7.0 with various improvements and new features.
Features to highlight:
Download Contacts as vCard
With the latest update of Zextras Carbonio CE, users can now download individual contacts as vCards. This new feature allows users to export any contact from their address book into the widely used vCard format, ensuring all contact details are preserved.
Import vCard from Email Attachments
Zextras Carbonio CE now allows users to effortlessly import vCards from email attachments directly into their address book. When users receive emails containing vCard (.vcf) files, they can easily add these contacts to their address book with a simple import feature.
Seamless User Search for 1:1 Conversations
The new release of Zextras Carbonio CE simplifies finding and starting 1:1 conversations with users. Now, when you search for someone, you can find them whether or not you've had a previous conversation.
Upgrade to OpenSSL 3.0 LTS
Zextras Carbonio CE now incorporates the latest OpenSSL 3.0 LTS, enhancing security and performance. With the 1.1.x series is now deprecated, this upgrade to the 3.0.x series ensures long-term support and stability.
Enhanced Files Functionality Without Preview & Docs
Zextras Carbonio CE Files feature now seamlessly adapts to environments without Preview and Docs services installed. For users in single-server setups without these services, the Files UI intelligently hides all related features, such as creating, editing, and opening documents, as well as preview actions and thumbnails.
Password Reset Capability for Users
Zextras Carbonio CE now allows users to reset their passwords locally using a recovery code, provided the feature is enabled by the admin. To enable this feature, admins must set zimbraFeatureResetPasswordStatus to enabled. Users can then add a recovery email in their settings. When a password reset is requested, a recovery code is sent to the recovery email, which users can use to authenticate and reset their password.
Recurrent Appointment Indicator
Zextras Carbonio CE calendar now clearly indicates if an appointment is recurrent, enhancing user awareness and response efficiency. A new "Repeat" icon will be displayed on appointment cards to signify recurring events.
and many more improvements!

Hello,
After installing the new release my installation didn't work any more ...
WHer I try to connect en HTTPS to the web interface the screen is displayed but when I key user+password nothing happens ...
And with my certificate problem I can't even connect to the admin panel.
The certificates in /opt/zextras/conf/domaincerts are changed at every restart and I cannot find from where they are loaded.
Regards
JP P
thanks for the new release. But the update on RHEL8 is a nightmare. First on the instructions it could make clear that if you have already PostgreSQL 16 then skip this section.
First I got a package conflict with carbonio-openldap and carbonio-libevent. I fixed it by installing them manually and install the failed packages again
dnf install carbonio-openldap-2.4.59-7.el8.x86_64 dnf install carbonio-libevent-2.1.12-2.el8.x86_64 dnf install carbonio-login-ui dnf install carbonio-admin-login-ui dnf upgrade --best --allowerasing
pending-setups -a
Fails on the service
Job for carbonio-message-broker.service failed because the control process exited with error code. Looking at the service log (journalctl -u carbonio-message-broker.service):
