What to do to make editors work?
Hello @msch125,
We have also tried to install Carbonio CE on Alma Linux and it's somewhat challenging as it is not yet officially supported.
We would recommend you use Ubuntu 20.04LTS or RHEL 8 if you faced any issues please share them with us.
Best regards,
Arman
Hi @arman,
I have the same issue using Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
the command:
pending-setups -a
Generates the error:
File "/usr/lib/carbonio-docs-routes-generator.py", line 6, in <module>
import requests
Can you please help?
Thanks
Hello @mrzsilva,
We're about to release the next version of Carbonio CE in a few hours. Therefore, it might not be worth investigating the issue at this moment. I recommend waiting for the upcoming release to check whether the problem still persists. If it does, please write me here and I will inform our developers of the issue ASAP.
Hi @arman ,
I perfectly understand the need of releasing new functionalities but this gives me a dilemma: to manage a production environment we expect/we need to have some stability.
Do you have plans to release some kind of security and major functionalities upgrade (lets say major upgrade) vs minor upgrades.
Does it make sense to have monthly full upgrades as per my experience of last upgrade I got some problems after?
What are your recommendations, when should we upgrade?
(I have a multiserver installation)
Thank you for your great work
Regards
Hi @antonio
Over the last month, we have been focusing on enhancing the testing process of Carbonio Community Edition to minimize the number of issues that our users face. As a result, I suggest that we adhere to monthly updates as I anticipate fewer problems arising.
Regarding major updates, we are currently working on developing the chat system and video meetings, but we do not have an expected release date for these updates.
@arman, exellent news!!! You can count on the community to test new releases!
Hi,
I am trying an installation using the process described in the documentation for single server scenario on Ubuntu 20.04 container, and I also get the same error with the latest version of Carbonio
Can you help?
Best
Did you said "container"? like a LXC or LXD container?
Carbonio doesn't work in Containers.
