Hey,

I complete the test migration from Zimbra to Carbonio CE using the doc below

https://community.zextras.com/how-to-use-imapsync-to-migrate-zimbra-to-carbonio-carbonio-ce/

It recommends to set the hostname to mail.carbonio.local.

After the migration I'm able to set the public virtual hosts and certificates to be used by the HTTPS or IMAP but don't know how to do the same for SMTP. it continue to ring as mail.carbonio.local with private cert.

220-mail.carbonio.local ESMTP Postfix

can we change the host and cert used for SMTP traffic incoming / outgoing without changing the primary hostname of Carbonio CE ?

thanks

@Shariful Islam

In your guide  you said "Traditionally, hostname & hosts are configured using the actual domain, but to perform this migration you need to set them as mentioned above but don’t worry it will not affect your server/services(email transaction) in any way."

Is there any way to use the suggested hostname "mail.carbonio.local" and at the same time use the public hostname and certificate for SMTP traffic ?

appreciate you take a look and advise. Finally I had to go through process of the Carbonio/Zimbra hostname change. The advise may help the others using your guide

Thank you
