This is fresh install of Carbonio CE 24.1.0 on Centos 8.
Everything appears to work fine except sending mails using the SUBMISSION protocol on port 587.
Sending unencrypted on port works fine.
This is not a firewall issue.
When attempting to send on port 587, then the server log says:

The client eventually times out trying.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I checked on a server with CE release 24.1.0 and I am able to send and receive emails using Thunderbird. I am attaching images for your convenience.
Also, I would request you to use an officially supported OS (Ubuntu 20.LTS and RHEL8) to avoid any unknown inconvenience.

I have the same problem, but I can´t send mails from external applications, like nextcloud, owncloud, etc. With Thunderbird I don't have any problem.
