The main problem being faced is the inability to upload files in Zextras Carbonio CE when running on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.

Although the upload process starts normally and the interface briefly confirms that the file was uploaded to the Files home directory, the operation fails immediately afterward with the message “no healthy upstream”. The file is never actually stored.

The root cause is that the carbonio-storages-sidecar service (Envoy via Consul Connect) fails to remain running. It is forcibly terminated by the operating system with SIGKILL, even when there is ample available memory and no global out-of-memory condition.

Multiple configuration and tuning attempts were made (memory limits, systemd overrides, sandbox relaxation, service restarts), but none resolved the issue.

As a result, Files uploads are unusable, making the Files module unreliable on Ubuntu 24.04. The issue does not appear on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, which currently seems to be the stable and recommended platform for Carbonio CE in production environments.

I am asking for help because I am facing a problem with Zextras Carbonio CE where file uploads are not working.

When I try to upload a file, the system briefly shows that the upload was completed, but right after that it fails and the file is not saved. Because of this, I am currently unable to use the Files feature at all.

I have already tried several basic checks and restarts, but the problem continues. At the moment, I am unsure what else to do and would really appreciate guidance from anyone who has experienced something similar or knows how to fix it.

Any help, advice, or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
