Hi Everyone,
I am using the community version of Carbonio Mail with its full features, including chat and video call functionalities. However, we have been facing high memory usage issues. Despite providing the server with sufficient resources (4-core CPU and 24 GB RAM) and having only 20 users, memory consumption is steadily increasing by approximately 1 GB daily. Currently, 13.5 GB of memory is already in use, even though the mail server is not being utilized now.
Using BTOP, I observed that the majority of the memory is being consumed by the Zextras services.
Could you please suggest how we can optimize or resolve this issue to maintain stable memory usage? Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your support.
Same problem here and in my second try to install Carbonio, I skipped chat, video, collabora editing, workflow stuff and files.
So basically it is just a plain mailserver with webmail and some nice to haves, exactly how I want it to be on a single Ubuntu 22.04 server install.
It has only 1 mailbox for now, my admin account and is using up 16GB+ memory.
Did a zombie process kill, seems to be back now at 14GB.
As Java probably is the part I suspect, was now searching which JDK is used.
From my own experience with Java/Tomcat, I know that running a cron for Java Garbage Collect can do a lot, but I don't think it is something which is appliable here.
