Zextras is not officially supported by the zimbra team

Our system engineer at the university refuses to install the zextras theme package for the faculty mail server since he says that the package is not officially supported by the zimbra team, i.e. the software authors. Do you think it is possible to make it an official package (zimlet ?) included in the zimbra software ?
