I ran into the same issue. I think the cause is this: "lt_dlopenext failed: (pw-argon2.la) file not found". It was renamed to argon2.la (see here).

I solved the problem by changing one line in /opt/zextras/data/ldap/config/cn=config/cn=module{0}.ldif from

olcModuleLoad: {8}pw-argon2.la

to

Thank you very much for this solution, I was going to create a new VM and migrate mailboxes. It has been my first Carbonio's upgrade on a server that has been up for just one month and is still in testing.

I encountered an issue while attempting to upgrade Carbonio to version 24.9.0, as the process stalled at a certain point. Please find the logs attached for reference.

Configuration file '/etc/carbonio/carbonio-prometheus/prometheus.yml'
==> Modified (by you or by a script) since installation.
==> Package distributor has shipped an updated version.
What would you like to do about it ? Your options are:
Y or I : install the package maintainer's version
N or O : keep your currently-installed version
D : show the differences between the versions
Z : start a shell to examine the situation
The default action is to keep your current version.
*** prometheus.yml (Y/I/N/O/D/Z) [default=N] ? Y

I ran into the same issue. I think the cause is this: "lt_dlopenext failed: (pw-argon2.la) file not found". It was renamed to argon2.la (see here).

I solved the problem by changing one line in /opt/zextras/data/ldap/config/cn=config/cn=module{0}.ldif from

olcModuleLoad: {8}pw-argon2.la

to

olcModuleLoad: {8}argon2.la

@marcos, thank you!

This should be listed as the fix, as it solved the problem on my RHEL 8 system as well. I went as far as reinstalling carbonio from scatch (while preserving the configuration) and even that didn't work without changing the file shown above.

Kudos!

- Richard.
