Hello,

I am planning a ~50GB Zimbra migration and have a few questions.

Source Server
Zimbra 6.0.8
Debian 5
Xeon E5504
8GB RAM
4 x 300GB 10K disks in RAID5

Destination Server
Zimbra 8.6.0
Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
Xeon E5-2620 V2 Six-Core
16GB DDR3 RAM
2 x 600GB 15K disks (RAID 1)
LSI MegaRAID 9260-4i RAID Controller

I have installed the ZeXtras Migration Tool on the current (source) server.

1. While exporting from the source server, can Zimbra still be used? I would like to do a test run of the import/export procedure before doing it for real.

2. If Zimbra can be used while exporting, would you expect a performance impact?

3. This is probably a difficult question to answer, but...do you have any benchmarks for export/import speed? It would be good to have a rough idea of how long exports/imports typically take and whether I can expect them to take hours or days!

Thanks!
