Automating the backup process

Hello everyone!

I would like to make sure that I have understood correctly how ZeXtras Backup works before trying it out. What I'm trying to do is make snapshots of my backups regularly, and send them to a remote location.

If the real-time scan is activated, the backup data is updated every time something happens, right? Then, all I have to do next is make a tarball of "/opt/zimbra/backup/zextras/" and upload it?
