Japanese text not displaying in ZxChat

Hello folks

Our Japanese Zimbra users have found that ZxChat won't display Japanese characters. Is there a way to get it to work with these types of characters?

We're currently getting round the problem by using the Pidgin chat client instead, but this situation isn't ideal.
