Hello,

After some days to try Carbonio Webmail

Keyboard shortcuts are sorely lacking, especially:

  • Delete an email with backspace or delete
  • Reply
  • Forward
  • Mark as spam When navigating through emails, pressing Enter is required for the selected email to be displayed. It is not possible to select an entire list of emails with a single click.

In the mail list popup:

  • Search for emails from this user
  • Create a filter from the selected email

For my part, I do not approve the move to production, which means we are in trouble...

Regards

@ctof,

Hi,

Thank you for your honest feedback.

Utimately our users feedbacks is going to shape the future of Carbonio Community Edition.

We understand that right now Carbonio CE has to go a long way to meet users' expectations. We could
assure you that our effort is honest.

But we would like to understand your feedback a little bit more clearly. So if possible, please
help us to understand them.

1. You expect a keyboard shortcut to delete emails with a backspace/delete button
2. You are also expecting keyboard shortcuts for reply and forward actions

3. About selecting emails with a single click, each folder has an activate selection mode with a checkbox icon and by pressing
it you can select all emails in that folder. But please feel free to clarify more to help us understand clearly.

4. If I understand clearly, you want to create a filter while searching for a particular sender or email.
Please let us know if you want to add more.

So that I can discuss with the devs if any of these topics are in their plan or pipeline.

But most importantly, we would like to thank you for your feedback. Maybe these are expected features for many other users
also, so we appreciate your feedback.

Let us know and we will move forward with this discussion.

We can gladly say that daily many system admins prefer Carbonio CE over other open-source free email solutions as Carbonio CE not only
supersedes them by feature but also at the architecture level.

Till then have a good day!

Regards,

Sharif

Hi,

I also find it very necessary to activate the SUPR key to delete selected mails.

The combination of mouse click and SHIFT and CTRL keys for multiple selection, in this case to select multiple mails, is also common in all interfaces.

Automatic selection of the next mail after deleting o,e mail will be a "Plus", delete a mail with the "delete" key will also be handsome.

Hello, is there any progress with the keyboard support in the web UI? I have finally up & running recent version of carbonio CE, and it looks like no improvement in this matter was done.

In Zimbra web UI I was able to: shift+arrows --> select messages

m+r --> mark as read

del --> delete messages

ctrl + enter --> send e-mail

m+p --> print

and many more.

It would be nice to have at least this kind of functions since it helps much in daily e-mail management.
