Hi.
We are using Carbonio as a mail server and connected it to Nextcloud (Mail). Sending and receiving emails works fine.
The problem is with filters. They don’t work in Nextcloud. As far as I understand, it’s because Nextcloud requires ManageSieve (port 4190), but Carbonio doesn’t expose it externally.
Right now, filters can only be managed through the Carbonio web interface, but we need to manage them from Nextcloud.
The question is: how can we enable external Sieve access in Carbonio?
Hi.
You cannot do that, there's no such thing as ManageSieve in Carbonio.
You might want to code some kind of interface between Nextcloud (ManageSieve calls) and Carbonio API to manage the filters.
However, I don't understand why you would use Carbonio as mail solution if it's to use Nextcloud's webmail in the end.
It looks like missing one of the main points of Carbonio (its full featured webmail) while having its complexity to manage.
If you want ManageSieve, you could use a "simplier" mail solution that integrates it genuinely (such as iRedMail).
