Hello there,

I read through the article about how to migrate from Zimbra to Carbonio via a script which would be me prefered way to have no impact on my users.

In this articel only Zimbra 8.8.15 is being mentioned.

Question: Is this script/workflow also valid for Zimbra 9?

Hi,

Yes, both ImapSync-based and script-based method works on Zimbra 9 too.

Grazie @sharif.

Then I will try Carbonio CE.

May I additionally ask as Carbonio seems to be a fork of Zimbra will some usecase (e.g. installing Letsencrypt certificat, running Z-Push and so on) bit similar/equal?

Hi,

There are some similarities in some components between Zimbra OSE and Carbonio CE. But Carbonio CE is way ahead of Zimbra OSE in terms of features and architecture.

For your information, you can install Let's Encrypt certificate in Carbonio CE using the graphical Admin Panel UI within a few minutes.

About Z-Push, maybe this post can give you some more ideas.

But I can not confirm you as it was originally developed for Zimbra OSE.

Regards,

Sharif

I will try to play around.

For Zimbra I had to modify the /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync line at Zimbra Nginx config to have it forward it to a local Apache2 server which handles EAS via Z-Push + Zimbra backend via a modify PHP8.3 config.
