Guys,
I ported zmbackup from Zimbra to cmbackup for Carbonio CE, so now we have decent backup tool =)
Hope you like it
Thank you.
I just installed a carbonio and was going to test Zimbra tools like zmbkpose.
that looks fun, but sadly I can't access your site from French polynesia (
Sorry, you have been blocked
You are unable to access anahuac.eu
)
This does not seem to be working for me, maybe I am doing something wrong.
Every time I run it, either manually or via the default cron.d job it always outputs 0 byte .tgz files for the mailboxes.
Could I please get some help with this?
Be warned! cmbackup broke LDAP when I tried to restore an account on my test system (which is widely reported in Issues · lucascbeyeler/zmbackup (github.com)) Make sure you have a good snapshot or LDAP backup before you mess with this script.
@myriad TYVM for the heads up.
I think I have fixed that bug and it's working on my testings. So I release version 1.2.7.
Do you mind giving it a try a let us know if it's working now?

@anahuac How should I upgrade? Do I copy over the new folder and run the installer again?
@myriad yes... just download and install again... you may even backup cmbackup.conf and restore it after new install if you want.
I also gave specific instructions on https://t.me/CarbonioMail
I had to fix a few things in cmbackup in order to be usable for us. Our updated version is at https://github.com/MarcoSteinacher/cmbackup (which I forked from https://github.com/alsyundawy/cmbackup and made a PR there). Maybe this is useful for some.
It would be nice if we could maintain cmbackup at GitHub and share improvements.
Nice,
When I looked at cmbackup the version it was forked from had some none resolved issues. I can read that you have fixed some of the issues but there was one strange issue if you did a restore on a domain that contained a "s", or something.
And how do I migrate to this fork?
Thanks
