Two more bugs that is annoying me personally LOL
I have this "persona" set on my account and I have a specific Signature set to it. Every time I reload Carbonio webmail that setup is lost. So I have to go in Personal Configurations and set it up again. It doesn't stick.
The same thin happens with "Trusted addresses" area... all my inputs are gone after a reload.
It's like it doesn't really save it on the LDAP, so when account is reload it's gone and you have to do it again.
All those little things makes regular users fell it as a bad experience.... and so they complain... and users complain with no reason... so I would love to see those little things fixed asap =)
Sure @anahuac, I will report them as well. Thank you for bringing them to our attention.
@arman Thank you very much for the effort in solving the bugs.
Regarding the "undefined bug", although it has been solved in the Form or To this
"Undefined" <usergal@domain.com>
now in 23.10 shows you only the email <usergal@domain.com>
but the expected behavior is
"User Gal" <usergal@domain.com>, can you please report it to the developers and thank you again.
Sure @cleverflores, I will do it ASAP.
Hi @arman ,
I am new to Carbonio but used zimbra 8.8.15 for several years now. I see you mentioned in 23.3.0 version email quota has been improved. I am using 23.10.0
Setting the user account quota the user still see "You have unlimited space available" in the settings of their webmail.
see https://community.zextras.com/forum/carbonio-general-thread/account-quota/#post-6340
Second problem with quota's I have is..
If I set a domain aggregate quota it won't work
see https://community.zextras.com/forum/carbonio-setup/domain-aggregate-quota/#post-6335
Can you help me out?
Max
Thanks @max_s for bringing these issues to our attention, I will inform our developer teams as soon as possible.
Hello everyone,
The Zextras crew is delighted to present Carbonio Community Edition 23.11.0 with various improvements and new features.
Features to highlight:
Copy Functionality for Email Addresses
You'll now be able to effortlessly copy addresses from the 'from', 'to', 'cc', and 'bcc' fields of an email, making it easier to utilize them in appointments, emails, and contact composers. Plus, the revamped visualization in conversation view, allowing expansion and collapsing of individual messages with a single click, maintains its consistency, enhancing your overall user experience.
Appointment Editing on Board
The newest release of Zextras Carbonio CE introduces a significant enhancement to appointment management. We understood the need for a more straightforward editing process, so we have now centralized all editing functionalities on the board. All appointment edits will now take place exclusively on the board, marking an end to disjointed operations on the displayer.
Improved Domain Access
This release includes a usability improvement targeted at administrators. When opening the 'Domain' section, if no domain has been previously selected, the UI will now automatically display the domain list. This enhancement saves administrators time from manually searching for a domain name, now efficiently placing it just a click away. The iteration aims to refine navigation and simplify domain selection for a more streamlined administration process.
Admin-Enabled Email Listing in MTA Queue
This release of Zextras Carbonio CE is set to provide global administrators with superior control over the MTA queue. The improved design introduces a dedicated Admin Panel enabling rapid inspection of the MTA queue status across your infrastructure. More than the comprehensive view, it allows admins to list messages currently in the queue and interact with the flush queue directly from the Admin Panel. This feature not only simplifies queue management but also strengthens security by minimizing the need for SSH access.
Enhanced Certificate Management for Admins
The latest release of Zextras Carbonio CE amplifies the administrative controls over SSL certificate management. Now, admins can easily view installed certificate data, giving them vital insight. Furthermore, it provides the flexibility to upload the certificate either with two files (full certificate chain and private key) or three files (certificate, chain, and private key). The amendment also rectifies past limitations, facilitating the upload process by accepting pasted text or file selection.
Full Visibility on Domain Usage by Class of Service
In this release of Zextras Carbonio CE, we're enhancing administrative insights with full visibility on domain assignments by Class of Service (COS). As a Global Admin, you will now be able to glean which domains are linked to a specific COS, and which accounts have been explicitly assigned to a COS. This includes the ability to see lists of domains using a COS as default, domains linked to the COS, and accounts assigned to the COS. This crucial feature will provide a comprehensive understanding of COS impact when performing modifications or deletions.
Drag-and-Drop Email Address Management
In the new release of Zextras Carbonio, we’re introducing an interactive drag-and-drop feature for email addresses within the composer’s fields. Users can now effortlessly move addresses between the 'To', 'Cc', and 'Bcc' fields simply by dragging and dropping. This feature, requiring enhancements on the Contacts module, promises to streamline your email composition, making the process more intuitive and time-efficient.
Enhanced Table Search Filter
In the latest release of Zextras Carbonio CE, we are excited to introduce an enhanced search filter feature for seamless account management. With this improvement, users can now easily search through their extensive list of accounts, even in cases where the API encounters errors while fetching the entire list. This feature empowers users to effortlessly navigate through a large number of accounts, saving time and ensuring a smooth experience within Carbonio CE.
Streamlined Admin Login Page for Expired Passwords
We are introducing an enhanced Admin Login page that supports expired passwords. In instances where an admin attempts to log in with an expired password, due to policy requirements or a 'MustChange' flag, the Login screen now provides a clear and informative message. Moreover, to facilitate prompt password changes, we have added a conveniently located button that, when clicked, opens a new tab with the seamless login/change password flow.
Improved Free/Busy Visibility for Effective Scheduling
We’re thrilled to announce that in this release of Carbonio CE, we have made significant enhancements to CalDAV integration, specifically regarding the visibility of free/busy status when creating new appointments. With this improvement, users who configure their clients with CalDAV now have the ability to accurately view the free/busy status of attendees while scheduling appointments. Previously, such status information was not displayed, which could potentially lead to scheduling conflicts and inefficiencies.
Enhanced Email and Conversation Visualization
Users will now have the ability to view emails and conversations in a larger, more detailed format, facilitating faster and more efficient reading. With this update, emails and conversations can be opened in a separate tab, allowing users to dedicate their full attention to the content at hand. In this expanded view, various actions such as replying, replying all, forwarding, and editing as new will be conveniently disabled to ensure uninterrupted focus on reading.
and many more improvements!

IS it possible to install the current version of Carbonio on an ARM based processor, specifically the Apere processors on ORacle cloud, or even the ones on Azure? Arm seems to provide value for money
Hi @alec-m,
At the moment, there is no confirmed decision regarding this matter.
Thanks for quick reply @arman.
Without massive details, what are the issues about support for 22.04?
Nothing specific, It will be eventually one of our plans in the future.
