Unused mobile devices
Currently we are running Zimbra 8.8.9_GA Network Edition with Zextras. We have a fairly rapid turnover in mobile devices as most employees get a new City provided phone for free every 12 months.
We have many devices on the list as managed but they have not sync'd in months, some over a year. As many of these devices are employee owned I do not know what was done with them. Given to wives or children maybe?
How can I remove these devices without sending a wipe command, and will the device drop off the list if it can not be contacted to complete a wipe command?
In the main zextras section listing all devices, you can remove the history for previous devices. I suspect that is what I want but I am not certain. Will that prevent the device from syncing again, or simply remove the history?
Removing the devices from the list will just remove the history, you can add the same device again.
