After migrating my mail server to a new environment; I’ve noticed that Zextras Mobile Sync is not working as expected. Some users report delayed email syncing; while others can’t connect their mobile devices at all. Before the migration, everything was working smoothly & no major configuration changes were made. 🤔
I’ve already checked the logs in Zextras and Zimbra, but I can’t pinpoint any clear errors. Restarting services and re-syncing accounts temporarily resolves the issue but the problem reappears after some time. Could this be related to DNS propagation, SSL certificates / outdated ActiveSync policies? 🤔
Has anyone encountered similar issues after a migration? I’d appreciate any troubleshooting tips or configuration checks that might help. If there’s a recommended way to refresh sync settings without disrupting all users, that would be great to know! 😊

To troubleshoot Zextras mobile sync issues after a server migration, first enable the Account Logger for the affected user to capture detailed sync logs. Then, check the server's mobile module configuration and timeout settings, as these can cause sync problems and SocketTimeoutException errors. If the issue persists, try resetting the device's sync state from the Zextras Administration Zimlet, which forces a full re-sync and can resolve sync loop issues.
