Restore only server configurations when a mistake disables the system

In the event that someone makes a Zimbra server level change (global or domain but NOT user level) that breaks the server, is there a command line that would restore a previously working set of configurations (from the backup path) that would start working again after a reboot?

I realize the best thing to do is watch the logs and just undo or correct what was done but I'm thinking about after all that fails, getting the system back to where it is running without rebuilding or doing a complete system restore.
