I would like to know where are the emails stored for the user and I would like to import some emails into those folders to keep them in sync.

hi bro

you need to import them using zmmailbox tool if you got them in a tar.gz form

or imapsync from an imap server to carbonio.

Hi,

Yes, Carbonio CE supports Imap. You can also find some more details here:
https://docs.zextras.com/carbonio-ce/html/architecture.html#supported-mail-protocols

You may also find these articles useful:

Thanks and regards,

@skbro27

Hi,

This will set zextras@example.com as the CatchAllAddress for the domain example.com

root@mail:~# su - zextras
zextras@mail:~$ carbonio prov ma zextras@example.com zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @example.com

Yes, Carbonio CE can connect to any imap server (i.e. Google Workspace, M365, others)
You can use imasync to transfer your email data from these platform to Carbonio CE

You can follow this article which is very similar to Carbonio CE:
https://community.zextras.com/migrate-zimbra-from-one-server-to-another-server-method-2/

Note: We are planning to publish detailed articles regarding migrating from any platform to Carbonio CE soon.

I hope it helps.

Thanks an regards,

Sharif

  1. imasync has a limitation of 3gb right, my total mailboxes is around 600gb.

@skbro27

Hi,

If you use Imapsync tool which is basically an online based tool you will face the 3GB limitation. But if you host you own imasync server then you will not face the 3GB limitations (As per my knowledge!).

Another alternate method could be: (For Google workspace)
1. Export your account data using Google takeout
2. Import/Upload email,contact,calendar to Carbonio CE using CLI.

Thanks and regards,

Sharif
