Hello @all

We have released new packages to fix the warning of "'TransferredOwnership'" during users' login and their presence in their webmail. This warning occurred due to some issues with carbonio-files-ui***.

Please update your system to get rid of this warning notification.

While updating, make sure:

  • you have read the relevant segment of the documentation carefully.
  • take backup/snapshot of your system/server.
  • After upgrading the packages, run pending-setups to ensure the registration of new packages (If any) in Carbonio Mesh. If there are any pending-setups, to complete them you need the consul password. You could find the consul password in /var/lib/service-discover/password file.
  • Reboot the system, if needed.

Please feel free to share your feedbacks with observation on the forum.

Have a good weekend! 😊

I feel very disappointed about the lack of response of Zextras. People complain about things get broken when upgrading. Even a new install is not error free (I did an install on 22.04 and 24.04). Days, a week went by and still no acknowledgement was offered. People them self found some workaround. On my installation's a

systemctl start | stop carbonio*

does not work properly. On my fresh install Carbonio would not start no more after I initiated a stop. Only a reboot would fix that.

Zextras you let down many people. Your glamorous website does not live up to what people get when one installs Carbonio CE.

Headches, Frustration, Disappointment and the list goes one.

That is why I wrote a post titled: Why this forum sucks in my opinion

Even that post has no acknowledgment whatsoever!

For me Zimbra is still the better option, because you get help on their forum.

You will have to do much, much better than just a fancy website with even more fancy words.

The update worked for me - it removed the error message at login.

Thank you.

PS: It is not optimal to change the contents of a release without updating the release id: 25.9.0
