Hello,

Will Zextras create and support an open source version of Zimbra 10.0?

If I am correct v10.0 will be available to the open source community. I would like to know this roadmap. I have to combine with an Ubuntu upgrade from 18.04.

Hi,

You can build you own zimbra 9 and 10 using this docker images from the following repo: https://hub.docker.com/repositories/ovox

Best Regards!

I tried building v9 and v10 for Ubuntu 20 using instructions here: https://hub.docker.com/r/ovox/zimbrabuild-ubuntu20

Neither worked properly.

As I'm no developer, I'm sure I did something wrong.  But I did prove the instructions are insufficient.

Caution advised...this can be a time waster.

I think this is probably the easiest if you wanted to do it yourself.

https://github.com/ianw1974/zimbra-build-scripts   ... You copy config.build.10 to config.build and then run zimbra-build-helper.sh and it does everything. He wrote the script so it figures out what OS you are on and then does everything for you.

As a service, he also keeps the builds for various OS releases so you do not have to build it if you do not want to.

Ref:  https://techfiles.online/zimbra/   for your version and OS.

The Zimbra 10 build date for Ubuntu 20.04 was on June 1, 2023 so it should have the latest source changes as of that date.

HTH,

Jim
