@arman Great news. Thanks!

Will this be visible on the website? I can't find this release info currently.

@martinwiertz I hope the info will be visible on the website, although I don't know for sure. The thing that I'm sure of is that in a few days, the file will be updated (right now it's the same patch 14 but until the end of the year it will be updated every month).

@bulletxt At least until the end of the year, yes (it will be updated every month).

The build has not yet been updated on the zextras site.
Today I checked it.
Everyone is waiting for updates. 🙂

Hi @nik, that's right, the build is done but it is in the testing phase and it will soon be available to download. Thanks for your patience 🙂 .

Hi Arman,
I would like ask you a question.
There are 3 builds on the site - for Ubuntu, RHEL 7/CentOS7 and RHEL 8/CentOS8.
Maybe you know what about Oracle Linux OS ?

@nik

About Oracle Linux, no, we haven't built anything specific for it.

Although generally speaking, the CentOS/RHEL should work for Oracle as well, but be careful if you're tempted to test that! It's something that I will probably try to check myself out of curiosity, but please keep that in mind; if it works for me, that doesn't mean it will work for you, and it needs more technical investigation to be approved.

@arman

OK, Arman, thanks.
I tested it already, works.
My test server was on Centos 8 OS and then converted to Oracle 8.
I know that this is not a legal experiment, and it works now, but what will happen tomorrow?
Nobody knows.
Centos 8 will soon be out of use, I had to look for other OS variants with Zimbra running .
There is an easy way to convert Centos 8 with working Zimbra to Oracle 8.
Therefore, I asked about the assembly of Zimbra from Zextras under Oracle 8.... 🙂

@bulletxt@martinwiertz, @klug

Starting from p15, zimbra-*-patch packages have been moved away from the OSE repository. Furthermore, the new patch introduces some NE dependencies, making it incompatible with the current OSE installation, hence preventing OSE users to perform the update.

We are already working on a solution and we plan to make it available to the community by the end of this month.

Stay tuned for more news!

Hi,

Today I noticed a new Zextras file of Zimbra 9.0 FOSS.  The version 9.0.0_ZEXTRAS_20210811_UBUNTU18_64. Does anyone know which patch this is?

After a backup I performed an inplace upgrade. I saw 1 error.

"Updating global config and COS's with attributes introduced after 9.0.0_ZEXTRAS...failed."

Anyone??
