I have been particular about Ubuntu 24.04 and after clean installation, I can see some minor error ,for example,

systemctl status carbonio-*

According to it, some services are failed but active or auto-load:disable. I feel uncomfortable a bit.

carbonio-configd,saslauthd,alter-mime,mailthreat,app-server, and so on...

Finally, I have given up using Ubuntu 24.04 because I thought Ubuntu 24.04 or its systemd is not a good match with Carbonio CE.

and for many testers, proven version is like Ubuntu 22.04 LTS maybe.

I tried Ubuntu 22.04(jammy), and clean installation of Carbonio CE 25.12.

and systemctl status carbonio-*

I saw  ---all green(active)---- status "for the first time". What a surprise!

and so far, It seemingly is working well. ...for now...

Everyone should use Ubuntu 22.04 too. It is good for your mental health. One less worry.

Almost 20 days and still no feedback from the team about the problems...

I'll try installing it on Ubuntu 22.04 to see if it works better as reported.

Hello everyone, I'd like to check if my problem is related to this same issue being discussed.

Carbonio CE 25.6.1 - Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS

I've been receiving the alert "Something went wrong" when my users are already logged in and working on webmail. If they are not logged in and try to log in, no message appears, but the login process doesn't work, regardless of whether it's port 443 or 6071. This situation occurs for about 5 minutes and then returns to normal without me having done anything.

The point I've observed is that I only receive this error on external accesses where my DNS returns the public IP of my Carbonio server. Simultaneously, for my users on the local network where the DNS returns the local IP of my Carbonio server, the operation proceeds normally.

If this is not related to this topic, I can open this content in a new thread, thank you!

Hi,

This is not related to this post.

Also, I would recommend you to update to the latest version of Carbonio CE (Release 25.12.0) as it has some important improvements.

Regards,

@carloscunha Hi, CarC! How about after that? How about the combination Ubuntu22.04 and Carbonio CE 25.12?

I did a clean install on Ubuntu 22.04 and it went smoothly, and Webmail and AdminWeb are also opening without problems....
I haven't been able to test it further, but it really seems that the biggest problem is with Ubuntu 24.04.

It seems the problem is indeed with Ubuntu 24.04, because with 22.04 everything seems to "improve". Do you know anything about this?

It's really not related to the topic, but if you only get errors when accessing from an external network, I would check if a security layer like a WAF is causing the problem, as this is usually only applied to external access.

Here the problem is worse, it happens to everyone lol

I did some basic tests here, like creating accounts, changing MTA settings (which was a serious problem in version 25.6), COS changes, sending and receiving (internal only), and several reboots, several accesses to Webmail and AdminWeb, and everything worked perfectly. In fact, in Ubuntu 22.04 there is something different that is currently the recommended option to use.

As per this 25.12.0 works well on ubuntu 22.04. But what issues you have found with ubuntu 24.04LTS, you did not describe or mention.

It would be helpful if you share your findings. Specific details on issues would be appreciated.🙏

Hello!

I described the problems with Ubuntu 24.04 and Carbonio 24.12 in the post from the beginning; this is very clear, and more information can be found in the message exchange with other users who have the same problems.

Please, can you read this post from the beginning? I really didn't understand your message...
