Hi Maxin,
Sorry for the trouble you faced.
Meanwhile. we check the log you have posted, could you please take a look at this post and confirm that all steps are followed
properly?
It would be a great help to us.

@shariful-islam
Yep,
I have followed all steps for the installation
I tested in the centos as well as ubuntu, initially I did in centos and faced the , so I thought it might not be fully production level, so better compatibility I moved to ubuntu.. I have the same issue in ubuntu as well..
any other thoughts what could be the issue ?
hostname is carbonio.example.com
but the domain it auto-added is example.com ( unlike the normal zimbra install)
the MX for carbonio.exmple.com is only done.. will that could be an issue ? as I cannot change the example.com's MX at the moment without proper testing..
Here is the status and version info.. all looks good , but the email is not working

The mesh setup is not done, is that necessary to follow? I skipped them
Hi,
Could you please try this command and let us know, how it goes? [Replace your hostname]
zmprov ms mail.example.com zimbraSmtpPort 25
Thanks and regards,
Sharif
hi,
Thanks it worked..
Appreciate it 🙂
but not sure the dfault install chnages the port..
also I have another ubuntu carbonio install with the port 20025 as MTA port and its working too.. didn't need to change the port and the MTA server is mentioned as 127.78.0.7 ( not sure what this IP is too) ..
Hi Maxin,
Thanks for the details.
Yes, the mesh setup mentioned in this official documentation is necessary [ https://docs.zextras.com/carbonio-ce/html/single-server-installation.html ] Step-5
Did you install Carbonio Community Edition (Carbonio CE) or the Carbonio which has an advanced module?
Also, did you install Zextras suite along with it ?
By the way, if you are a paid subscriber of Carbonio or Zextras Suite, please do not hesitate to open a ticket in our support channel.
For Carbonio CE, I would suggest you do a clean installation without skipping any steps mentioned in the post.
Thanks and regards,
Sharif
Hi,
I am glad that the issue is solved but it is not the natural way.
I would cordially request you do a clean installation of Carbonio CE using the exact steps mentioned in this post.
If you have DNS records published then you can skip the setup of dnsmaq.
BTW, are you installing Carbonio Advanced modules/Zextras Suite by any chance?
Please let us know.
Thanks for your understanding and effort.
Thanks and regards,
Sharif
@shariful-islam
Thank you for the support,
also I didn't installed advanced modules only installed CE modules mentioned the doc
anyway all good..
for your information, I've had the same problem last month after a reinstall.
in my case the issue was bad global smtp port.
I verified it and fixed it with
zmprov gcf zimbraSmtpPort zmprov mcf zimbraSmtpPort 25
NB : the port was kind of random inconsistent port 20025 IIRC.
