Hello. The MTA section is missing from the Carbonio admin panel, however the documentation "https://docs.zextras.com/carbonio-ce/html/adminpanel/mta.html" states.

One more thing... in 23.6.0 it's not possible to add a volume using the interface.

Once you click to Add Volume, the Name field is grayed and there is no way to add it because without a name you can't proceed.

So I had to do it by cli using zmvolume.

I remember well that it worked well on 23.5.* , so I guess something changed.

Hi @dosnso,

can you check that the carbonio-mta package is installed? Please also check the installation log (or upgrade log) to check if there was some problem during installation/upgrade?

I'm also not seeing any MTA configuration available in my Carbonio 23.6.0 on Ubuntu 20.04.

I checked and carbonio-mta is installed.

Is there where those new Anti-Virus option would be available, right?

How to make that MTA area available on the Admin Panel?

Hello everyone,

The Zextras crew is delighted to present Carbonio Community Edition 23.7.0 with various improvements and new features.

Features to highlight:

Board Resizing Enhancement
The email editor window can now be resized by users to cater to their preferred dimensions, enhancing its utility. This feature is particularly beneficial for users who may require various sizes to conveniently view other emails and information concurrently.

Attendee Availability Visualization
Organize your appointments effortlessly by instantly knowing the availability of attendees at the selected time through intuitive color-coded indicators. Attendee chips now display availability status, with a red warning icon indicating unavailability at the selected time.

Enhanced Attachment Indicator for Printing and Saving
Easily demonstrate the presence of attachments in your printed or saved PDF emails with our new feature. When an email with attachments is printed or saved as a PDF, the presence of the attachments is automatically detected and indicated in the output, providing clear evidence. This improved user experience and effectively resolve potential disputes.

Enhanced File Display
To improve usability, uploaded files in the Files section will now be showcased using distinct colors and icons, enabling effortless differentiation. This enhancement proves especially valuable when managing folders with a multitude of uploaded files. Stay organized and quickly locate the desired files with ease.

Enhanced Selection Summary
We value your efficiency and productivity while managing files and folders. With our latest update, you can now easily track the number of selected files and folders without the need for manual counting. This feature eliminates the risk of miscounts and saves you valuable time, especially when dealing with a large number of items.

Improved Certificate Management
When an admin deletes a domain that previously utilized a Let's Encrypt certificate, our latest update guarantees the automatic removal of the domain from the Certbot domain configuration. This enhancement ensures proper maintenance by preventing potential conflicts or inconsistencies.

AV/AS Configuration from Admin Panel
We understand the need for flexibility in managing your system's security settings. As an admin, you now have the ability to choose whether the virus check feature is enabled or disabled directly from the admin panel. Stay empowered with this improvement and ensure the optimal protection of your system.

Domain Change Capability
We recognize the importance of flexibility and adaptability when managing user accounts. With our latest update, admins now have the ability to change the domain associated with an account directly from the admin panel. This feature empowers admins to swiftly update and align user accounts with the desired domain, ensuring seamless management and organization.

Enhanced Certificate Display in Admin Panel
With our latest update, the admin panel now provides a comprehensive view of certificate content, including essential details such as issuer, subject, alternative names, valid dates, and more. This enhancement ensures a seamless and user-friendly experience, allowing admins to quickly access and review vital certificate information.

and many more improvements!

Greetings @arman, I want to thank first of all the enormous effort for the intensive development that the Carbonio team makes to deliver a quality product as a collaborative platform.

Is it possible to fix this bug?
https://community.zextras.com/forum/general-info/name-undefined-in-mail/

This bug has been around for several months and also has no fix in 23.7.0
Thank you very much for your attention.

It's great to see the project activity and progress but there are some important stuff that need to be fixed before move forward:

1 - MTA area still doesn't show up in admin UI;

2 - that "undefined" issue when answering messages is still there and that's a huge problem;

3 - where is the webmail chat?

Thanks @arman and the dev team for your efforts.

I want to point out a couple of issues I came across while following the documentation to install and upgrade last version.

1/ Step 4 involving the following actions seems wrong.

read -s -p "Insert Password of DB Admin:" DB_ADM_PWD

PGPASSWORD=DB_ADM_PWD carbonio-mailbox-db-bootstrap
carbonio_adm 127.0.0.1

Apparently the right executable is

carbonio-files-db-bootstrap

2/ On your install documentation, unless I missed something, you don't mention anything about editing the pga_hba.conf from PostgreSQL. It is needed to change the line

local all postgres peer

to

local all postgres md5

else the bootstrap from step 1 won't work.

Kind regards,

Gerard.

Hi Gerard,

thank you for your feedback, here are my comments, assuming you are referring to Carbonio CE:

1/ both on Single-Server [1, Step 8] and Multi-Server [2] appears carbonio-files-db-bootstrap

2/ In Single-Server, you are right: PostgreSQL instructions are wrong. In Multi-Server however, they are correct (see tabbed box [3], at the end of Section [2]) .

I will correct the instructions, perhaps we make it to publish them later today already.
