Hi just have a fresh installation of Carbonio CE to test it out as a replacement of my actual Zimbra 9 mail server where I have been using the Zextras license for ActiveSync.

I think that should be working out of the box with no further configuration, am I right?

On the other hand, if my reading was correct, there is also an option to have new authentication for this option to share my email with people like my assistant (Carbonio Auth for users — Zextras Carbonio CE Documentation)

None of this options are working, please your help

Hi All,

I would like some help on this one too. Currently I am using Zimbra 9 with Z-push. Either way, I need Activesync and/or Carbonio mobile app to work with Carbonio CE to replace Zimbra (and Z-push) functionality. Neither seem to work right now.

Many thanks in advance.

Grtz,

Joost

Carbonio CE doesn't have ActiveSync available... so I did this Docker CT to implement Z-Push and attach it to Carbonio.

Take a look to this article I wrote Carbonio – ActiveSync with Z-Push

Enjoy

Hi Anahuac,

Thanks for this! Tried it out and works like a charm.

Just wondering... why does it have to work in Docker? Can it not work on the Carbonio mailserver itself? Or is it due to port conflicts?

Greetz,

Joost

It doesn't have to be in Docker, but it is the easiest way, because:

1 - Carbonio CE doesn't have it at all;

2 - You must install Z-Push and setup Carbonio's Proxy anyway;

3 - Z-push was designed to be installed on it's own server separated from Carbonio;

4 - Install Z-push on the very same server without using Docker requires a lot of setups due to services, packages, dependencies, ports and users... it is possible but it's a nightmare =)

5 - Have a Docker CT made it easier and faster to deploy on the same server where Carbonio is installed;

Regards
