@arukashi I think we don't support migration of Tasks: our implementation is quite different from Zimbra's, so I can not think of any easy workaround, sorry.
How to Migrate Zimbra to Carbonio? Manually
First, open the Zimbra desktop client and select the Preferences tab.
Next, select Import/Export and choose “All Folders” to Export.
Now, choose the mailbox to export and hit the Export button.
Lastly, choose the location as per your choice to save the emails.
Not sure if this is still useful for somebody, but here are two scripts, that migrate some more parts: removed link
- Mails
- Calendar (default name "Calendar")
- Contacts (default name "Contacts")
- Filters (zimbraMailSieveScript)
- Tasks (default Name "Tasks")
- Distribution Lists
Some things are still missing, but they might be added later. Contributions welcome.
Thanks to the community for the good resources out there, that helped me to put this together 👍
Someone removed the link without giving reason or notice or trying to reach out.
That makes my contribution completely useless and i guess it will only annoy people looking for a working script based solution (outside Z2C). Does anyone know of another place, where contributions are welcome?
I was hoping for some feedback and ideas to improve the scripts.
Most probably, the forum's built-in protection system removed it. It would be really interesting and useful for all the members to test & try your scripts. Let me figure our how can I help you share your ideas and plans and get back to you.
Sorry about the inconvenience.
@sharif Thanks for the reply. This is much appreciated.
I guess some part of bbPress removed the link, so i'll try to send it via direct message as well as here again.
Link to repository: https://gitlab.com/zankapfel-public/zimbra-carbonio-migration
Basically its hosted on gitlab - groupname is zankapfel-public and the project name is zimbra-carbonio-migration - Add the .com to gitlab and / in between.
@noreabu Good they approved your message with an external link... It has been a while since all messages got under Awaiting moderation, and the main restriction is mostly about external links.
That's why I stopped replying here. I can't share my articles anymore.
They should reconsider it.
