Hi,

Merry Christmas.

Sorry to hear about your trouble.

Could you please tell us some more details:

1. Is it single server?
2. OS and Carbonio CE version
3. Are you using any external relay?
4. are you using any external outgoing authentication or not?

BTW, an editable  Admin Panel GUI will be available in the next release. Still your mail send/receive should be okay regardless of that.

Let us know your thoughts.

Have a good day!

Regards,

Sharif

Hi,

yes it is a singel server.

The OS is Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS, I use the CE version Carbonio Release 23.11.0.

Nope, I want my carbonio to send and receive mail.

In current config (with zimbra) I have mta set as localhost.

I'm sendin e-mail directly from my server without using any third party relays or any other proxies.

Hi,

In that case your server should be able to send/receive email directly without any issue. What does the /var/log/carbonio.log says after sending an email?

Are all services running? like:

zmcontrol status

or

systemctl list-units carbonio*

Also, is the installation went well without any issue?

Check out this video, to make sure everything is okay.

Thanks,

Sharif

i think I leave this crappy and buggy system since it's not working and no support is available even trough forum.

new problems arise, and even local e-mail is not working:

Feb 14 23:20:41 mail2 postfix/smtp[345764]: fatal: specify a password table via the `smtp_sasl_password_maps' configuration parameter

Feb 14 23:20:42 mail2 postfix/master[317751]: warning: process /opt/zextras/common/libexec/smtp pid 345764 exit status 1

Feb 14 23:20:42 mail2 postfix/master[317751]: warning: /opt/zextras/common/libexec/smtp: bad command startup -- throttling

Sorry to hear about your issues.

I know it is a lot to ask but I would request you to follow these instructions and let us know the result:

Hello @sharif, I think there is still an issue:

root@mail2:/home/marcink# apt install carbonio-message-broker -y
root@mail2:/home/marcink# pending-setups -a
Insert the cluster credential password:

Executing all setup scripts...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Executing /etc/zextras/pending-setups.d/carbonio-message-broker.sh
Insert the cluster credential password:
Config entry written: service-defaults/carbonio-message-broker
Config entry written: service-intentions/carbonio-message-broker
Configuration reload triggered
Success! Data written to: carbonio-message-broker/username
Success! Data written to: carbonio-message-broker/password
User carbonio-message-broker added
Success! Data written to: carbonio-message-broker/admin/username
Success! Data written to: carbonio-message-broker/admin/password
Setting tags for user "carbonio-message-broker-admin" to [administrator] ...
User carbonio-message-broker-admin added
Setup successful, moving carbonio-message-broker.sh to /etc/zextras/pending-setups.d/done/
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are no pending-setups to run. Exiting!
root@mail2:/home/marcink# PGPASSWORD=$DB_ADM_PWD carbonio-ws-collaboration-db-bootstrap carbonio_adm 127.0.0.1
carbonio-ws-collaboration-db-bootstrap: command not found

Besides there is an error in lines:

PGPASSWORD=DB_ADM_PWD carbonio-files-db-bootstrap carbonio_adm 127.0.0.1
PGPASSWORD=DB_ADM_PWD carbonio-tasks-db-bootstrap carbonio_adm 127.0.0.1

should be in my opinion:
PGPASSWORD=$DB_ADM_PWD carbonio-files-db-bootstrap carbonio_adm 127.0.0.1
PGPASSWORD=$DB_ADM_PWD carbonio-tasks-db-bootstrap carbonio_adm 127.0.0.1

Hi,

I was unable to send message when I check "Reject unlisted sender". You can find this option under MTA -> Inbound flow and security.

I didn't find the solution, there is something wrong with post screen.

Normally it should work when you set my network 127.0.0.1/8 XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/32.

I have to investigate more in postfix configuration.
